What is Dermaplaning? Dermal planing is a relatively new form of manual exfoliation meant to be performed primarily on the face. Also known as Dermaplaning, Skin Levelling or simply Blading. The treatment is performed by a qualified trained professional and involves the use of a sterile surgical blade, or scalpel. This method removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells (stratum corneum) and hair, leaving the skin smooth and supple. Course overview History of treatment Relevant skin anatomy, physiology and skin types/conditions Depths of exfoliation Client consultation Health & safety and treatment preparation Treatment procedure Relevant contra indications and contra actions IMPORTANT INFORMATION Students must be 18+ 2 x Models will be required, 1st model @ 1.15pm, 2nd model @ 2.15pm Students will be also required to work on each other.
